happiness.

I say this every time, it's been forever since I posted. but let's be honest, I'm not the best at blogging. but I try :). so much has changed since the last time I posted! number one, I'm engaged to my best friend. I am so excited it has been the greatest month in a half with him. let me just start from the beginning. he got home from his mission on october fifth. that day was crazy full of different emotions. I don't think I spoke more than ten words on the way to the airport. I was going crazy waiting for him to come down the escalator! he lead the pack of missionaries down the stairs and it was amazing to see him! he looked so good! here are some pics from that great day.

we have better pictures of the hug and all that good stuff, unfortunately all of them are on amy slash my dad's camera. so we'll see what we can do about that. after we picked him up at the airport we went to eat at the cheesecake factory. after that we headed home where he was released as a missionary and the family started to visit at the house. bryce was so tired and worn out but was so happy to see everyone. it really hadn't hit me yet at that point that he was home. it was so crazy! in the next few days we went up to park city and shopped for clothes for him, got him a phone, he found a job, and just enjoyed spending time together. I was so grateful to have him home! despite the haters we still loved each other after all this time and knew what we have is right and real. then the real fun began :) the halloween season was well underway and we celebrated bryce's favorite time of year by attending our newly annual pumpkin party with the friends. we painted pumpkins this time and had soup and had a fire after. it was good times for sure. enjoy some pictures.

bryce and I and our pumpkins!

we look forward to many more pumpkin parties with the friends. we'll have some extra special guests next year I feel :)
on one of the first decent weather days that bryce was home, we went to see coen j's spot. we met my mom dad ian ash and jason up there and let go of some balloons for coen. it was good to have bryce visit up there.

the next part of the month was filled with ranom fun activities with bryce and our families and friends.
we walked around gardner village on witch's night.

we saw the help and were theeee only ones in the entire theater.
bryce enjoyed his first movie theater experience in two years.

frightmares!

blue iguana date with bryce and amy :)

next on the agenda was a trip to texas with the some of the vanchiere clan. the guest list was big mike, rhonda, jeff, chels, baby sunni, amy, bryce, and myself. we spent some time with mike and amber and their kids and we also went to the byu tcu game at cowboys stadium. it was ridiculous. so fun!
more pictures coming your way.

texas was way fun and if it weren't for the hot and humid weather I wouldn't mind living there one day.

next. the proposal. :)
we got home from texas pretty late on sunday night and the next day was halloween. bryce and I had our day pretty much planned out, we had our costumes (a giesha and a ninja), we would both work for a few hours in the day, and then go to dinner and watch a scary movie. I knew the proposal was coming sometime but he really hadn't given me any hints so I had no idea when or how. which is exactly what he wanted! so I went to work full on in my giesha costume and spent the couple hours I was there doing busy work pretty much and helping my boss put together our new office chair. little did I know my bosses were simply trying to distract me haha. next thing I know in walks amy and steph. I was surprised and confused to see them there but still didn't think anything of it! I'm convinced the spirit had its influence over me because my mind was blank of any suspicion :). alli says "hey cait let's go move some props around in theater two." still...no suspicion! all I was thinking was "seriously? I don't wanna move props. (slightly annoyed)" so me alli sheryl amy and steph make our way over to theater two. there were props kind of blocking the windows but I could see just a little bit of what looked like balloons. still...no suspicion. crazy right? then they opened the door and boom! there was the most amazing set up. I proceeded to blurt out "OH!" and turned around and walked right out of there. alli pushed me back in and then I saw him. he looked so attractive and I immediately started to freak out. don't worry we have it all on video. he said some of the sweetest things and got down on one knee. my plan was when he asked me to say "you bet!". unfortunately I was much too excited to think that clearly so I said yes :) I was the happiest girl on earth at that moment. he didn't even seem nervous and everything was perfect! I will remember that moment for the rest of my life. here are some pictures to prove it.

so happy.

he (with the help of my mother) got this blanket made. it's the softest thing ever I love it.

also. on the mirrors of the studio he wrote reasons he loves me.

the ring. lovvvvve.

sigh. so much has happened! I feel so happy and so excited. we are getting married in the salt lake temple on february ninth. plans are coming together pretty well and quickly which is good! I am loving this part of my life and trying to soak in every moment. I feel things are only going to be changing more and getting better and I'm so excited. I really really really am going to try to blog more often because it's exhausting having to blog about fifty things in one sitting.
until then, loves to you all. :)
