holiday goodness.

well. i didn't stick to my promise very well. ha! but let's be honest, i've been a tad busy and preoccupied. with good things of course! but the other day i had a new found determination to be better at blogging. especially after march 22 (the happiest day of my life) things are sure to calm down, making it easier for me to blog more frequently. so get excited :). this post will be a slight picture overload but you are sure to enjoy it because the holidays of 2011 were so great, mostly because i had my man with me to enjoy them! for thanksgiving i journeyed to porterville california with bryce and his family to visit his oldest sister and her family. so...previous to the actual thanksgiving holiday, we had a thanksgiving of our own with my family. it was pretty great. good food. family. and fun. love.

our thankful wreath. my mom found this idea online somewhere and it has now become a MacEwen family tradish. we all wrote things we were thankful for and then we pinned all the leaves onto the wreath. pretty cute eh? it was great :)

as far as pictures from actual thanksgiving i mostly took them on my phone so no such luck for the blog world.  we had a lot of fun just chilling at jenn's house, watching christmas movies, driving around town and seeing all the orange crops and cotton fields, it was a great relaxing thanksgiving!

then the christmas celebrations were under way! bryce and i really got into the spirit, we made a gingerbread house. it was on our bucket list for christmas and it was really fun.

my sweet man made me dinner one night, and then i made him dinner another night. we love to do fun surprises for each other and it definitely keeps our relationship exciting :)

then came the traditional temple square visit! we went with my family and it was so freezing! we were on the grounds maaayybe thirty minutes tops. that's about all we could handle. but i loved visiting the beautiful temple that i will be sealed to my best friend for eternity in. march 22 :)

we loved our gifts we got! it was a fun christmas. after we spent time at my house we went over the vanchiere abode. bryce's parents gave me a cute jacket and a mini food processor! i just love my second family and am grateful that i have two amazing families! as i've said twenty six times...it was a great christmas :)
